Kitchen Makeover in Seven Oaks
I’m beyond excited to share a special kitchen transformation we recently completed for some amazing friends and clients in Seven Oaks subdivision in Johns Creek. This project is close to my heart, and I can’t wait to show you how we turned their outdated kitchen into a bright, modern space perfect for family gatherings and quality time with friends.
A Personal Touch: From Outdated to Inviting
When I first stepped into my friend’s kitchen, it was clear that it needed a little love. My mission? Create a welcoming environment where they could enjoy their morning coffee and host family gatherings with style and ease all while making the space seem larger. To achieve this, we brightened the over aesthetic by using a light color palette, added lighting, and extended the cabinets to the ceiling. This design choice not only maximized storage but also drew the eye upward, creating the illusion of a more spacious kitchen.
Embracing the Bright Side
To breathe new life into the kitchen, we started with a light and airy color palette. We opted for off-white and dove gray cabinets, which instantly brightened the space. This lighter look not only enhances the natural light but also sets a cheerful tone—perfect for those cozy family breakfasts!
One of the standout features we added was a stunning custom natural wood hood and open shelving. These elements not only bring a touch of nature indoors but also add character and charm. The shelving features LED lights under the shelves to showcase the beautiful ——dishware, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for entertaining. Our lighting plan for the space was very intentional, we wanted to make the space feel bigger by making the space brighter.

The Coffee Bar: A Trendy Command Center
One of my favorite parts of this transformation is how we turned an outdated command center into a fabulous coffee bar! This cozy nook now doubles as an entertaining space, making it ideal for hosting family gatherings. Imagine serving up freshly brewed coffee and pastries to friends and family—it’s the perfect way to start any get-together!

Eye-Catching Zellige Tile
Now, let’s talk about the beautiful Zellige tile we chose for the backsplash. With its iridescent sheen, this tile not only adds texture and depth but also serves as a stunning focal point. It captures light beautifully, creating an eye-catching backdrop that sparks joy every time my friends step into their kitchen. Plus, Zellige tiles are all about that handcrafted charm—perfect for adding a unique touch to any design!
All in the Details: Wood and Gold Accents for a Touch of Luxury
To tie everything together, we incorporated chic wood and gold accents, adding warmth and contrast to the neutral cabinets. This luxurious combination was achieved through carefully selected accessories, a stunning custom wood hood, and open shelving, all complimented by the gold hardware and lighting fixtures. These little pops of gold add a hint of luxury and warmth, making the kitchen feel both stylish and inviting. It’s all about those thoughtful details that make a space feel like home!
